It seems you mean en endocrinologist, a specialist on hormones (endocrines
etc.). He may prescribe oestrogene and Progesterone (from the first to the
20th day of the month in my case), to prevent further loss of bone-density.
This treatment is given to women whether they are menopaused or not, to
stimulate the hormones that are active against osteoporosis. I'm talking
from my own experience. Whether it is effective, I am a bad example, for my
bones are losing density in spite of hormonal treatment, because of other
reasons (a systemic disease).

Good luck with your treatment. It is really worth it, if it works normally,
because women's bones become incredibly fragile after menopause, so its
always better to prevent the effect.
