Interesting article in today’s NYT links inflammatory diseases in mothers to
autism in their offspring. Describes a Danish study of 700,000 births where
mothers with CD were 350% more likely to have autistic children. The
research links the increasing prevalence of inflammatory disease to multiple
disorders caused by “immune dysregulation” possibly linked to the “cleaner”
(“we suffer from microbial deprivation”) environment we live in compared to
our forebears.
