We use a product called 'pico pica' Real Mexican Style Hot Sauce.  It is
distributed by Pico Pica Foods, PO Box 481, Harbor City CA (USA) 90710.  I
first used it in place of tabasco in a smoke salmon brine.  Been used in the
household ever since in the more traditional tabasco applications.
