Several people have asked me what the problem would be with canned
artichoke hearts.  They all have citric acid and are imported.  Citric acid
can be made from wheat if it is not produced in this country.  Domestically
made citric acid cannot be made from wheat per FDA rules.  I swear, we just
about have to be food chemists!

S&W artichoke hearts were on a GF list from several years ago.  I have
tried to contact the company, with no luck.   It's a moot point now, as no
stores in west Michigan carries them.  So far, one person has suggested
frozen artichoke hearts, which I didn't know about.  I'll summarize.     - C
