Hello list!
My husband, age 32, has been tested for celiac in his childhood. A very
informative pediatrician, told his parents that he probably had celiac,
even though they could not determine it definitely. Since that time, he
has been on a GF, lactose free diet. Not until his early 20's did he
finally stick exclusively to the GF diet, just because he got sick of
feeling sick. Recently, he met a gastroenterologist, who told him he
should get tested again, since now the testing process is much more
sophisticated. Here is my question: Should he get tested again? The
GF, lactose free diet is working fine. What would be the point in
testing again. Is there a chance they could find cancer or some other
thing wrong since at one point he wasn't exclusively GF?
I will summarize back to the list. Thanks in advance for your help.
