I'd like to thank everybody who responded to my question with regards to
facial moisturizers, what a great group this is. Here are the responses I
received:

Attached are product sheets with ingredient information for some gluten free
moisturizers from NuSkin. I have several friends who are Celiac; they are
delighted with the results of the gf NuSkin skin care products. Although
not all NuSkin products are gf, the company dedicates production lines for
the gf products, so there's no possibility of cross-contamination.

After ten years of moisturizers that made my face break out, I discovered
origins and Aveda. They seem to do the trick for me.

It may sound strange, but I use Lacrilube eye moisturizer all around my eye
area, not just for lubricating the eye itself. Other than that, I use
Neutrogena Advanced Solutions night cream, gf by company info, and sometimes
L'Oreal Active Daily Moisturizer, which I have used for a long time.
Neutrogena has a gf list from their company.

I used to use either Clinique or biotherm, but both now cause problems for
me. I mainly use Bath and Body Works Rice Face lotion (white bottle, pump

top) but be very careful - other products in the same line do contain
gluten, and some have soy, which seems also to be a problem. During the
summer, I sometimes use the Dove moisturizer with sunblock.

I have used nothing but plain Crisco as a moisturizer for years. I am a
refractory atopic as well as a celiac, and have had several derms tell me
that it is the least offensive product possibel for my skin -no additives,
fragrances, etc whatsoever. I love it, very soothing, and less greasy than
you would think.

I take a small tupperware of it with me in my purse -and since it is neither
gel nor liquid I have not had any airplane issues ( I fly internationally on
a regular basis). It;s also inexpensive, a nice benefit. Just be sure to get
the plain kind, and not to use store brands, as they often contain lard
(yuk) - plain crisco is just veggie oils.

I love Mary Kay makeup and I love Laura Miller who is the mother of a Celiac
child. Although I live on the east coast and she lives in Minn. she checks
the makeup for me and I trust that she knows what she is doing. My favorite
moisturizer right now is the Oil Free Hydrating Gel. Her address is

I was diagnosed seven years ago with Celiacs. I had also tried various
products, Clinique being one of them. About seven months ago I started on
Mary Kay's skincare system and loved it so much that I became a consultant.
They have a medical department that has been very helpful with my questions
and are equipped to answer the questions about products with gluten. I
would be happy to answer any of your questions. Please feel free to visit

I used to use Oil of Olay just fine. Then someone talked me into using Mary
Kay moisturizer. Soon I found my face turning into one big Zit! Adult acne
on my face big time. Went back to Oil of Olay and am doing fine and my face
is much smoother & happier. Good luck.

Clinique is the way to go

I use Purpose moisturizer, it is water based and doesn't plug pores.

To my knowledge it is gf. I used to really love the Basis moisturizer but
they stopped making it; I guess it was not selling. Purpose is almost as
good. Blue packaging.
