Hi Everyone,

Info received from the Greater Phila. Celia-Sprue Support Group.
Wendy's Fries - Owing to the daily rotation of oil in Wendy's fryers,
there is a chance that the french fries could be cooked in oil previously
used to cook breaded chicken nuggets or fish.

McDonald's Warning: (taken from The Nutmeg Celiac, Fall 1996)
Ingredient statement dated 11/28/96 for boneless skinless chicken breast
meat, water, seasoning [flavors, dextrose, salt, chicken flavor (contains
chicken broth, WHEAT STARCH, thiamine hydrochloride and chicken fat),
sugar spices], modified food starch, sodium phosphate and salt.
McDonald's also has an Allergen List containing ingredient/product
listing for people with food sensitivites. They claim that their Arch
Deluxe, quarter pounder, regular patties, french fries and ice cream (not
yogurt) do not contain any WROB. At this time they claim that their hash
browns are Okay. For a copy call McDonald's collect at 708-575-FOOD.

Burger King: Burger King began test marketing a new spud they call
Stealth Fries. The are coated with a starchy spray you can't see, feel or
smell. They seem crispier, lighter and richer tasting thean before, the
equal of McDonald's Burger King is spraying whey and GLUTEN on its
Stealth Fries. Burger King is experimenting in about 1,000 restaurants
across the US, but it is not telling which restaurants. These are
scheduled to be sold early 1997.

French Fries anyone!!!!
