I contacted Kellogg's recently after I saw the posting about wheat starch
being added to their corn pops after the 1st of the year. Below is the
response I received. If all of us were to contact Kellogg's and voice our
unhappiness about the lack of Gluten Free food perhaps we can raise their
awareness that Celiacs are a BIG part of the buying market that they need
to pay attention to.
Consumers with questions regarding this product change can contact Kellogg
Company toll-free at 1-800-962-1413 Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm ET or
visit the website at http://www.Kelloggs.com. Once on the web site go to
"contact us" and use the email form to submit an email.
====================
Thank you for your comments regarding KELLOGG'S(R) CORN POPS(R). We are
sorry that you are unhappy with the reformulated product.
As you might imagine, we conduct extensive consumer tests to determine
consumer acceptance before introducing a food into the national market.
Reformulated products are of special concern to us, so we use panels of
regular product users across the country to ensure acceptability. Tests on
this reformulated product showed that most consumers preferred the new
product to the old. However, we realize that taste preferences and
nutritional concerns do differ and can certainly understand your feelings.
We appreciate your comments and will share them with the appropriate
company officials.
Thank you again for sharing your thoughts!
