I had one and honestly felt it wasn't worth the effort...rather make
cake or cupcakes. You can use any cake recipe in them..

I got a hand donut maker and it works great. I make the Bette Hagman recipe
and put in this holder over the grease, I squeeze the dough out and it drops
into the oil. It takes some practice, but they are turning out great. I
got it at a kitchen store.

Yes, I have two different donut makers. One makes two large at a time and
the other six at a time. They are wonderful!
Recipes follow: Good Morning Donut
2 c flour mix 4 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp cinnamon 1/8 tsp nutmeg 2 eggs
1 c sugar 1/3 c milk 1/2 c orange juice
1/2 c oil 2 tbsp grated orange rind 2 tbsp coconut optional
Beat eggs slightly, add sugar & beat at medium til mixture is thick & lemon
colored (2 Min). Combine milk, oj, & rind and add with oil & dry ingredients
alternately and beat well after each addition. Preheat donut maker & spray
with Pam. Bake as directed. My 2 donut maker needs 6 min on first side, turn
& 2 min more. My 6 donut maker needs only 3 min total without turning.

Flour Mixture I use for all kinds of bars and cookies is:
2 c brown rice flour 2 c white rice flour 1 1/2
c sweet rice flour
1 1/3 c tapioca starch 2/3 c corn starch 1/2
c rice polish or rice bran
2 tsp xantham

I keep this in canister on my counter and use as needed in all my old
recipes, even rolled out sugar cookies.

Buttermilk Donuts

2 tbsp cooking oil 1 c sugar 2
eggs
2 c flour mix 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp
baking soda
3/4 c buttermilk Mix
and bake as directed.
