Thank you all for responding! The majority of responses indicated that they have had very good experiences at Outback Steakhouse.

They have a gluten free menu. In most cases they have them at the front. Sometimes they had to go to the back to get them or print them out. They have a gf menu online at
http://www.outbacksteakhouse.com/ourmenu/pdf/glutenfree.pdf

The Aussie chips and the butter have seasoning in them that are not gluten free. A lot of folks had problems with croutons in their salads but in many cases, the staff happily remade the salads without them.

Undeniably the favorite was the Thunder Down Under, a gluten free brownie with ice cream, for dessert.

As with any dining experience, one must take care to communicate with the staff and be careful, as there were a handful of responses that indicated that they had bad experiences.

Once again, thank you all (so many responses too!) for your help and my daughter will be very happy to be able to go out for her birthday again!

Sharon
