Thank You!! to all who responded. My first batch of gf muffins turned out
really good.

My original post:
My family buys Red Star Double Acting Baking Powder from Costco. Does
anyone know if it is gluten-free? I can't figure out how to get in contact
with the Lesaffre Yeast Corporation.

Most of the responses included the website or phone number for the Lesaffre
Yeast Corporation.

Phone: 1-800-4-CELIAC
Website: www.lesaffreyeastcorp.com

Unfortunately it wasn't that easy, at least not for me. I had called the
number and it was all automated. I had tried the website and could find no
evidence of the baking powder being one of their products. I did see other
products that were very questionable. The only way to contact them on their
website is a form email, which I tried, and it was returned to me.

One person said yes it was gf and that they used it. Thank you!

Several people said that they didn't know of any baking powder that wasn't
gf.

One response I thought was interesting said that they had contacted Lesaffre
about their yeast "which turned out to be grown onwhatever was available -
sugar cane, corn syrup, molasses, or even soy."

Thank you for all your help!
