Thank you for the suggestions for dining in Silver Spring, MD. Below are the restaurants that were mentioned and a few I saw that are chains that offer GF items.

Pete's APizza
Austin Grill
Masa Hibachi
ZPizza (my son's favorite)
Lebanese Taverna (my favorite)
Whole Foods
Chik Fil A
Chipoltle

There were lots of other restaurants in the area and most of them were centered on Ellsworth Drive. It was very walkable and ok downtown area. Thanks for all the help!
