Thanks to all who responded to my request for information on the Seattle
Gluten Intolerance Group and a gastroenterologist in the Seattle/Olympic
Peninsula area.
Here's a summary of responses:

The Seattle GIG is at http://groups.msn.com/GIGSupportGroup-Seattle or

Here's what folks said about doctors:

* My GI doctor's name is Schuffler. He helped start GIG over 25 years
ago. His practice is downtown Seattle.

* We've had Dr. Richard Driscoll at Minor & James , Suite 200, in
Seattle, 206-386-9500, for our endoscopies and other testing. He is
wonderful doing these scopes. But doesn't actually know much about
celiac disease, per se.

* (This note was from someone shared recommendations from someone at
the Seattle GIG. They are:) Dr. Michael Schuffler . He is a gastro . we
don't have any experience w/ him. . You may also want to try Steven
Wangen (www.foodallergysolutions.com). He's great, as that was how my
daughter was diagnosed w/ gluten intolerance. I've been tested, as well
as my sister and niece, and learned which foods to avoid (not gluten).
Dr. Wangen is a naturopathic doctor (our first), is a celiac and
frequents the Seattle Celiacs meetings in Bellevue.
