Last week, my oldest daughter was in the hospital giving birth to her first baby. She went into labor Tuesday afternoon and had the baby Wednesday night, by caesarian. I stayed with her the entire time (and I'm still tired!) and a dear friend--one of only four people I truly trust to take care of Katie--watched the kids. Katie found some frosted cookies and, while she knows she can't have cookies, she can have some types of frosting. So she ate some of the frosting. The next morning she had caustic diarrhea and a tummy ache. Her knees and ankles still hurt. She didn't do anything wrong, poor baby, but this leaves no doubt for me and her doctors that she does, indeed, have celiac, if there were any doubt.

Dani
mom to Katie, 4
(and Linda, Jessie, Dave and Josh)
