My husband and I dined at Barnacle Ben's in Moorestown, NJ this week--a most
accommodating place for celiacs. After I went through my list of limitations
with a waitress I did not recognize from previous visits, a young man (with
baby and wife), sitting next to us shared his surpise. He too has celiac
sprue. It's unusual for us cd's to bump into restaurants like that. It was
nice to remember we are not alone.

P.S. Much to the chagrin of non-allergic friends, I always leave a hefty tip
in restaurants that are attentive to celiac needs...to reinforce their
memory.
