Thank you all for the overwhelming responses. I have tried to capture all
your responses in a summary that others might find very useful, "1,2,3s of
Oats"

1. Everyone is different, some can tolerate oat, some cannot. Some can have
small amounts others large bowls. If you decide to try oats do so slowly
and listen to your body.

2. Not that I am bias for everything Irish but I chose McCanns because I
experimented with these oats with no reaction. The final score of McCanns
users "Can tolerate" 3 vs "Can Not tolerate" 1.

3. If you are ok with oats other recommendations are, Gluten Free Oats (
www.glutenfreeoats.com.), Quaker (used twice a week by one CD), Bob's Red
Mill thick cut oats, GF Oat Flakes from Cream Hill Estates, Ltd. in
Montreal. Whatever you decide be careful you research the
cross-contamination.

"to make a precision. .05% is 500 ppm, so less than 500 ppm could be very
harmful for people with CD. The amount allowed in Canada for GF labeled
products is less than 5 ppm. There's no law about CD labelling in the USA
yet." Mireille, co-host of: http://forums.delphiforums.com/celiac/start
