I flew U.S. Airways to Costa Rica. I called ahead to ask about getting a GF
snack and was happy to hear that it would no problem. On the way there, I got
a special bag that contained a rice cake instead of a bagel, so I was pleased.
However, on the way home, the bag with my name on it contained a sub just like
everyone else's. Fortunately, we took along a microwavable meal. A very nice
flight attendant heated it up for me even though they didn't have a microwave.
He gave me a bowl and utensils. So it worked out ok. Maybe I should have
called to verify the meal on the way home, but they had promised the correct
food both ways. At least they tried. I will call to let them know I
appreciated the effort, but that a mistake was made.
