Thanks to all who wrote about my experience with likely having been
contaminated by my pharmacy.
There were several individuals who could not believe that such a minute
amount of contamination could make someone sick. Unfortunately, there
are those of us who are EXTREMELY sensitive (many more people than just
me), and yes, this level of contamination does make us sick.
I heard from a couple of other people who have similar arrangements with
their pharmacy. One person who raved about her pharmacy, as THEY
suggested a separate pill dispensing tray and they keep one specially for
her and her son.
I heard from someone in California who stated that, at least in
California, it is against health dept. regulations for the pharmacists to
eat in the area where they dispense the medications, and she suspected
the same would be true elsewhere.
However, I also heard from a friend in Denver, who also observed the
pharmacists eating behind the counter at her pharmacy, too (as I swear I
have also observed at my pharmacy.)
Finally, I would just like to say that I appreciate the support and
information from this list serve, but it is very important to be wary
about giving other people medical advice, especially since we do not know
their medical situation, and we are not doctors.
Thanks again for the support
Diane
