Hello Everyone

Firstly, thank you so much to all the wonderful people who took time to
reply to me and for the compassion all you showed me, thank you. I wish I
could reply to all of you indidvidually but with 7 children, homeschooling
and not feeling too good, it is impossible. Here is my original post in
case any missed it...

Hi there

I have been gf for 19 months now. I am also "allergic" to gluten as well
as celiac. I become breathless, mouth numb within seconds of consuming any
gluten. This is unintentional, maybe flour in the air, unwashed
fruit, crumbs etc. About a year ago, I started getting yellow hands and
feet. This would fade on and off during the day. I thought it was because
I was pregnant and my liver was taking strain. My baby is now 1 and I
still get yellow stages. I have been yellow again these last few weeks. I
also get very very cold, I have always been a cold person, but now, I seem
to get cold and stay cold, go even more yellow and feel sick. It takes me
ages to warm up again. My joints have also been hurting . I had a thyroid
test done, Thyroid Peroxidase IgG 1.872 They said the result is negative,
I was very surprised.

I also took my temperature every morning for over a week and it is
consistantly 34.8-35.8 C every morning.

A lot of people reckoned that I should get a full liver test and and also
full thyroid function tests. Most people were not sure why I was going
yellow and although a few mentioned jaundice etc. I am not yellow in my
eyes, which is a sign of jaundice.

Someone mentioned Raynaud's disease which affects circulation in the hands,
I dont think it is this as my hands are also affected and hunger can bring
on the yellow as well or it can appear randomly, not just when I am cold.

Really to summarize, it is still a bit of a mystery with a few people also
saying that they have had this or know of someone who has but that they
also did not know what it was. Of these people, some had actually been to
Drs. who also did not know?

After I wrote my post, I had a bad episode that ended up with me being on
painkillers for the rest of the week and in bed. The joint pain was
excrutiating and the worse episode yet, all brought on by getting a bit
cold.

Someone mentioned testing for Hepatitis as well, that it can go dormant. I
lived in South Africa for 15 years and go back every two years for
holidays,so I will have that test.

On Saturday, I had blood tests taken for a full liver panel, full thyroid
panel, Hepatitis A and Full blood count and Oestrogen. As soon as I get
the results, I will post into the list. I feel better knowing that a few
other people have experienced this and I am looking forward to uncovering
this and avoiding the pain I went through last week.
