Karen posted this comment to the Cel-Kids, but I believe that the intial
question should be posted to Celiac for feedback from our DH members.

-------------------------- Karen's message --------------

I have been reading a lot about the DH part of celiac and am wondering if
what my son is showing is DH. He got a pimple like rash on his butt cheeks
and between his legs. The rash on his bottom has now changed to like a full
red rash sort of like exzema (sp?) and the rash between his legs is still
pimply. We were at a ball tournament on the weekend and I think one of the
kids gave him some candy that had starch in it (not sure) and his tummy is a
little bloated. He used to react with no rash but vomitting and diarhea.
Does the celiac reaction change as he gets bigger, ie. more intestine to
handle the accidents or what? Should I get this checked by a dermatoligist
to ensure it is DH or just treat it as a rash? Any help in this would be
greatly appreciated.

Thanx
