Hello listmates,

I have been writing for a several years to Whole Foods, first to suggest
expansion of GF offerings in their stores, then to encourage them to get
their GF Bakehous up an running, and finally to urge them to have nationwide
distribution of GF foods to all areas of the country. Each time, I have
thanksed them for considering out special needs, and reinforced to them that
their decisions make great business sense.

I am a stockholder in the company, on a small level of course, and am very
gatified that they are doing this good work. It is a bit of a risk for
them, but some of you on the East Coast are already benefitting from their
ground-breaking efforts.

I just received a note in reply to one I sent last week:

"Thank you kindly for your eloquent praise for our products. As you may
know, so few people take the time to let a manufacturer know when they
are satisfied with a product. ...
...We take great pride in the items we make. It is the knowledge that we
have delighted our customers that drives us to do what we do. Your
letter has been shared with our production team leader, Lee Tobin, and
his entire bakery staff."

Whole Foods wants to hear from you, especially from folkswho have tried
their new GF offerings--please let them know you appreciate their hard work
in opening a new horizon in GF eating. I am grateful that this is
happening, and the bakers and especially Lee Tobin should be thanked and
congratulated! (Incidently, there was a nice article about WF and Lee Tobin
in the current issue of Living Without magazine.)

It is my conclusion that encouragement and acknowledgement really help get
things done.

Thanks!
