For those who have enjoyed Altoids, the "curiously strong peppermints,"
I have some bad news. I wrote to Callard & Bowser - Suchard Inc. (the
manfacturer) and received a long letter explaining gluten &
gluten-sensitivity. At the end was this sentence:

"We can confirm that wheat starch is used in the processing of Altoids, to
ensure that the product does not stick to the conveyor belts that transports
the product to the packaging area and depending upon your gluten sensitivity,
this may be an issue."

Sorry to have to break it to you. I share in your loss.

Sincerely,
Roberta
