My 11 y.o. Celiac son has been sick for 3 1/2 weeks. He's due to go back to
the doctors tomorrow. He started out with a virus, lasted 2 weeks, low grade
fever, vomiting, body aches, sore throat. The fever has been gone over a
week but he continues with fatigue, malaise, sore joints, occasional bout of
vomiting. We've rechecked diet for gluten. The doctor has done many blood
tests. Can you suggest anything to suggest to the doctor to test him for?
He's missed 3 1/2 weeks of school and doesn't show any signs of improvement.
He just had a follow up biopsy which showed complete healing of villi. He
was diagnosed 8 months ago, but doc is concerned because he has not gained
any weight in those 8 months. He's 4 foot 11 and weighs 75 pounds. He's been
sick with viruses and such since January. Any suggestions would be
appreciated>
Thanks,
Beth
