GIG KIDs DAY CAMP!!


This years conference welcomes health care professionals, adults and children
alike. The conference has plans for children of all ages. Teen Camp and Kids
Day Camp is open all three days of the conference. Parents can plan to attend
workshops and exhibits while their kids have supervised programs and
gluten-free snacks.

Activities planned for children and youth groups include games, crafts and
food activities (GF bread dough ornaments, decorating GF gingerbread and trick
or treating the exhibitors). Teen activities include a photo scavenger hunt,
Coffee Shop Talk, Restaurant tips, GF make-over (girls and boys) - not just
about cosmetics and games. Saturday night includes a pizza party from 5:45
p.m. -
6:30 p.m. for all ages.

GIG Kids Day Camp will have two groups determined by age, children (5-8) and
Youth (9-12). The Teens group is for anyone ages 13-17. The schedule for GIG
Kids Day Camp is Friday 7:30 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. with a lunch break from Noon -
1:15 p.m., Saturday 7:30 a.m. -8:30 p.m. with a lunch break from Noon - 1:15
p.m. and another break from (5:15 - 5:45 p.m.) to the Spaghetti and Movie.
Sunday
is a shorter day, 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with a lunch break (Noon - 1:15
p.m.).

The Kids Day Camp is designed to have children meet other children that are
dealing with the same lifestyle changes that come with Celiac Disease. With
the
social interaction at the camp, they can see that they are not alone and gain
knowledge about the disease that - is for life. It will be a great weekend to
relax and know that everything they eat is safe. The full schedule and
