Hi to all;
This is my first posting so bear with me please.
I was diagnosed with CD about 5 years ago and have been basically GF since
with seemingly no problems. About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with
Parkinson's Disease. PD is a degenerative neurological disease due to the
brain's inability to produce dopamine. There have been recent postings
concerning neurological problems possibly associated with gluten ingestion.
I'm wondering if the problem can also go the other direction. That is, does
a GF diet have, in some fashion, a cause and effect relationship to
neurological disease? I realize PD is a very long term and slow developing
disease, but the onset of the physical manifestations of PD (extremity
tremors in my case) make me wonder if there is a relationship between CD and
PD. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,  John
