Something for Everyone at the 2006 GIG Annual Education Conference, June
8-11, 2006 in Salt Lake City, UT

Kids Travel the World Learning about Celiac Disease - through an interactive
GIG Kids Day Camp Program, children 5-15 will experience celiac disease in
other countries. Kids will visit Ireland, Italy, Canada, France, and Japan. In
each country they will experience cooking, craft and cultural activities. Kids
will make sushi with Chef Aaron; watch a karate demonstration, and much more.
The weekend culminates with Trick 'r treating the exhibitors. Activities are
age-appropriate with a special program specifically for teens. Childcare is
available for children under 5 years old.

General Program - Friday is "All about Food" and includes lectures on
labeling, the gluten-free diet, dining out while traveling and gluten-free meal
planning on a budget. Of course, there are the cooking demonstrations: cooking with
whole grains, tea party treats and cooking naturally gluten-free. Friday
night dine in fabulous restaurants in Salt Lake City with new and familiar
friends.

Saturday learn about skin health and DH, the latest in CD research; modify a
gluten-free diet for other health issues; use of pre- and probiotics; coping
with celiac disease; and the relationship between family and food. Saturday
evening attend our Pennies from Heaven Dinner, a fund raising dinner with a live
auction and plenty of fun.

On Sunday, network in roundtable discussion groups, facilitated by
physicians.

Visit the exhibit hall finding your favorite products and new foods. Watch
for fun activities with the exhibitors.

Leadership Training - leaders of GIG Branches, Partner groups and others will
attend the second annual Leadership Training Day on Thursday. This highly
successful, free full-day program provides leaders with skills and information
needed to serve their local area effectively. This year the program focus is on
coping strategies to be a supportive leader, getting publicity and promotions
without big bucks, and the role of Branches in GIG's strategic plan. As well,
there is plenty of time to discuss issues within the Branches, material and
idea sharing. The day ends with a relaxing fun evening called Challenge is on:
Smoke vs. Iron. Tim and Marcie Coda will host the evening and Aaron Flores will
moderate the Challenge. Space is limited. Registration is required.
