Hello,

Somebody recently said that malt is to be avoided in any form. Well, I
have something to add to that. According to "Nova Scotia Celiac News,
April-June 1997," some forms of malt are ok. Here it is:

SAFE: Malto Dextrin, Malt Vinegar, Maltose, Maltol, and Malt Sugar.

NOT SAFE (contains gluten): Malt Flavouring, Malt Extract, Malt, Malt
Syrup, Malted Milk.

Maybe the safe list isn't related to malt altogether, but the names
sure could be confusing. Anyway, there it is.
