According to the Summer 1997 issue of _Derby City Celiac_, published
by the Greater Louisville Celiac Sprue Support Group,  KROGER brand
DARK brown sugar contains wheat.  The KROGER LIGHT brown sugar does
not contain wheat and is safe for celiacs.  This information was
obtained via a phone call to 1-800-632-6900, and refers to products
sold in the USA.

This information is specific to KROGER brand; this does NOT mean that
all other dark brown sugars are a problem.

Note that for DOMINO'S light brown and dark brown sugar, it states
right on the package that it is Kosher for Passover.  Since it does
not contain matzoh, that means it is also gluten-free.
