I had inquired if any of the listmates had verified if this product was
gluten free (was labeled gluten free but with wheat in parentheses) and had
used it.

I called the company and inquired if it was indeed gluten free and just not
free of wheat. The customer service rep indicated the reason for wheat
being in parentheses was just to show an example and the product was gluten
free - no wheat, rye or barley and lactose free.

No one had used the product but did give me some probiotic recommendations.

-Culturelle
-DDS Acidophilus
-Primadopholus

One listmate indicated her gastro doc told her not to take probiotics unless
he had OK'd it and to use OTC Prilosec.

Thanks to all who responded.
