Greetings from New Bedford, MA, USA

I'm new to this forum but just noticed a posting that mentioned
asthma.

My story is: In 1989 when I was pregnant for my second child, I began
having dificulties with a cough that would not go away. I also had
trouble with my stomach and digestion, having bm at 2 to 3 times a
day. These problems were however associated with my pregnancy, I have
been anemic since then and have chewed on so much ice that i've broken
a few teeth.

To make a long story short I eventually found out that I had asthma,
and still do, and have recently been diagnosed with celiac sprue (in
Oct of '94). The good news is I am no longer anemic since on a GF diet
and no longer chew on ice. But, I still have asthma. I have been
wondering if there is a connection with asthma and celiac sprue.

Jan Chisholm :-)
