At the new Whole Foods off Columbus Circle in Manhattan, I spotted a couple
of "Passover cakes" from Payard that appear to be gluten-free. Normally I
would experiment, but the price got in the way--the cakes appear to be
pretty small and about $20 each.

I'm referring to the Passover Flourless Chocolate-Almond and Lemon cakes
that can be seen at http://www.payard.com/eb2/default.php?cPath=48

Maybe the price will go down after Passover. In the meantime, I know I can
buy the delicious David Glass Chocolate Truffle Cake at Whole Foods,
Zabar's, and elsewhere for less than $10.

David
