<<Are you sure this is DH? I've been told by several specialists that DH is
an autoimmune disease which is not caused or aggravated by exposure to
external agents.>> How many times have they had it, for how long, under
what circumstances?

<<Have you been biopsied during these episodes? Its possible you have some
other kind of rash that would respond to specific medical treatment.>> My
skin is a terrible mess. It peels off in patches, grows lumps, etc., and I
am forever getting cancers frozen off it. It has improved 90 percent since I
went g/f.

<<Then again, if I'm wrong, I'd like to know. Does anyone have citations to
the medical literature?>> I don't use citations usually, and I haven't been
biopsied or diagnosed. But my life has been practically ruined and many
times nearly ended by almost all of the symptoms I have found on this Celiac
list, and some I have not seen here.

I just recently started a subdivision of this list, for people with
psychiatric symptoms of celiac disease. These can include symptoms of
multiple sclerosis. etc.

When I look back, it is obvious I was suffering symptoms of celiac disease
all my life. As an instance of hindsight, when I was first married I had a
miscarriage; it wasn't until I had a full-term birth years later that I
realized that earlier episode had been a miscarriage.

Now I am seeing things fall into a pattern that I recognize are related to
celiac disease.

My celiac autism combined with a high IQ have been a disaster to me.
Practically everyone I have ever known has abused me on the basis of my "not
trying to fulfill my potential."

I sound really defensive today, but there is no question about this in my own
mind. Please excuse me for my vehemence. People who have suffered often get
agitated when they feel their pain is being questioned somehow.
