My son has been GF for over a week and it first it was really helping.
Now he is back to diarrhea though and I have been extremely careful with
everything. Reading labels, calling companies to double check "Safe"
lists I found on the net and so forth. It looks like he is really
losing fat globules. I know it can take several months for the gut to
heal, so I suppose this is normal.

I think it may be from the antibiotic he just finished though
(Sulfatrim) for a pesky ear infection. He took it for about seven days.

How do you know if an antibiotic is GF? I called the pharmacist and
she said they have NO way of knowing nor would the doctors. If my son
has a lifetime (he is only 2) to be on this diet, how will he ever be
able to take an antibiotic when he needs to with assurance that it is
safe? Do any of you know of certain kinds that are safe?

Thanks again,
MElinda
