Hi,
I will be moderating a round table discussion on coping with children with
celiac disease at the Canadian Celiac National Convention in June in Saskatoon.

I would like some input from the young adults and adults who were diagnosed
with celiac disease as children. I would like thoughts on what things your
parents did that you especially are thankfull for or things that totally
embarrassed you and you would not want any other parent to do. I would like
some guidance on what topics you think a group of parents should discuss ie:
birthday parties, how to help your child cope when all the other kids are
eating hotdogs, how to teach your child to refuse food they can't eat.

I especially want the ideas from celiacs who have been through these
situations as kids and teenagers as I feel they have the insight on the
emotions felt.

I thank you in advance for any ideas sent, and will provide a summary to the
list once compiled.
                                       Thank you,
                                                 Heather Campbell
