For most of us working toward gluten-free communion options, it is
one congregation at a time. I am pleased to report that gluten-free
communion is now available at all services (beginning Christmas Eve)
in the Historic Sanctuary at St. David's Episcopal Church, Austin,
Texas. http://www.stdave.org

A "kit" has been prepared and is available to the clergy at the main
alter. A separate container for gluten-free wafers and a separate
chalice are being used. The gluten-free individual will remove the
host/wafer directly from the container to avoid any possible
contamination.

Persons in need of gluten-free communion, should contact a member of
the clergy before the service begins. For those who are new, an
usher can help locate a clergy member.

For me this is a blessed Christmas gift!
