Thank you to all that took the time to answer.  I heard from several who took the shots Fosteo.  I heard nothing good-a black box warning for bone cancer.  One person almost died after two weeks on the shots.  Several suggested that I have calcium level, vitamin D, and thyroid checked.

I had that done and received results today.  I was diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism which is causing depletion of calcium and vitamin D from my bones and pouring it into my blood.  I will probably need surgery to remove the parathyroid(s) causing the problem.  I won't know about the thyroid until the parathyroid is addressed.

Does anyone have this problem?
