Hi everyone,

I am having a heck of a time finding a good internist/general physician
in NY City or Westchester who can act as my primary care physician on
HIP health insurance. I got a few responses back in December for my
request, but NONE of the them are covered on my health plan. My
current general physician is absolutely the WORST doctor I have ever
had in my life. I am having surgery tomorrow and she has thusfar
refused to even write the referral that is needed. She is also the one
who refused to order a sonogram back in November when I was having
serious trouble. My ob/gyn found a mass on a sonogram last Wednesday
and he doesn't want to wait any longer to get in there... (She also
refused to give me an appt to see her last week when I was sick.)
Needless to say, I will not be returning to her office.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you have a recommendation for a really good,
caring, knowledgeable internist/GP in Westchester or Ny City, please
send me his/her name. Frankly, I need someone who can spend more than
5 minutes with me. I am sick of doctors looking at their watch and
saying, "well, I have a waiting room full of people. I don't have any
more time for you." We live in Stamford, so if you know of doctors in
Bedford, Katonah, New Rochelle, Rye, White Plains, etc, or NY CITY
please pass on those names. We are limited to using doctors and
hospitals in NY state ONLY.

I am only looking for a GP/internist. (I have finally found a good
gastro and ob/gyn. !!!)

Thanks for any info you might have -

kathleen
