Last month I saw a number of postings on B6. I remembered speaking to
a dietian two years ago about my digestion problems. Of course she
knew nothing about why I couldn't digest anything, but she was
concerned about my B6 intake--because I was taking 25 mg a day, plus
another 5 mg in a B-complex. She mentioned that someone at the
University of Minnesota had been doing research on bad reactions to B6
in amounts of greater than 25 mg a day. I just got the name of the person
from the U who reported this. Her is name is Judy Brown. She has
published a book called Every Woman's Guide to Nutrition. I have not
read the book myself. Perhaps it is worth checking into. My dietian told
me it could cause pain or numbness in the legs to take more than 25 mg
per day, so I adjusted my dosage. I didn't notice any difference. I still
suffered from leg pain, but it was due to Restless Leg Syndrome and
Period Limb Movement Disorder which I just had diagnosed this June.
(By the way, which is treatable with ongoing medication) Good Luck
with the B6. Abigail
