Hi Laurie~ Welcome to the exclusive Celiac Diabetes club <as if you chose to
join!> The juggling act of trying to limit carb intake and manage diabetes
control is quite the challenge. You asked for info or experience-- the best
thing I can tell you is you have to really limit the amounts of gluten free
grain things you eat because they are high glycemic index foods. You really
have to be a label detective--- paying special attention to *serving size*
and carb counts. Since you've had DM for 25 years, you have probably
mastered the carb counting, and just need to integrate & fine tune the diet
to exclude gluten.

It gets easier with time!

> Just this week I started insulin
pump therapy, and would also be interested in what types of experiences
pump
users have had managing their glucose levels.

>>>>>>>>> Don't know if there are pumpers on this list, but there is another
listserv that is for people using the pump, and it's great to mingle with
others who have figured out all the quirks of pumping.

All I've ever heard people say is they have much better control when
they switched to the pump, but it is expensive and can take some
tinkering. You should have back up supplies should the pump act up or
malfunction.

So when were you dx'd w/ sprue & do you have any specific question?
Welcome aboard!
