Hi teven~ Not sure what the GF status of sulfites in wine is-- we have
some local wineries here in Western Oregon so I can give them a call &
do a little research.

I do know sweet wines can cause bg's to soar-- so dry red wines are
recommended...
I've yet to find a Merlot that tastes good!
