I emailed my questions to Morton (from their website). They sent the
following reply:

>Thank you for contacting Morton Salt.
>
>Your request was given to our Food Technologist for response.
>
>"Calcium silicate does not contain gluten or prolamin. Our table salt line
>is not contaiminated by gluten or prolamin containing ingredients. Our
>table salt products are gluten and prolamin-free."
>
>We hope this answers your concerns.
>
>Sincerely,
>
>MORTON SALT

>Rose Magdziarz
>Consumer Affairs
