-I'm new to this list and would like to continue to receive the info. My
husband is insulin-dependant diabetic and recently diagnosed with DH. My
question is what is sugar busters?

Check out this web site at www.sugarbusters.com it has a lot of information
on the program. I have been using this for seven weeks now and lost 19
pounds! My sugar levels fasting are between 58-119, the doctor told me if I
keep it under 130 I will not need medication. You pretty much get rid of all
refined sugars out of your diet. You learn to look at all the ingredients in
everything you eat. I stay under 3 grams per serving or less. There are
only a few food you can't eat and a lot of them you can. You can't eat white
bread, items made from white flour, white rice, potatoes, beets, carrots,
corn, of course all cookies, cakes, etc. I had to give up popcorn and
potatoes, but after being on this for a while I find that I don't crave it
anymore either. My sweets are diet pop over sugar free ice cream, I am going
to also try a sugar free cheese cake for my birthday this week and see how it
turns out. I am now eating wheat bread, wheat pasta, and it is now to bad.
I have checked out and purchased many cookbooks and also having fun trying
new recipes. If anyone doesn't mine on this list I would love to share them
with you.
