This sugarbuster thread convinces me that messages intended for only one
Type of diabetes should be so marked. This diabetic list is unusual in the
proportion of Type 1s versus 2s --about 50/50 versus the 10/90 for more
general diabetes lists. Type 1s may be afraid to speak up; Type 2s may
think nearly everyone is a Type 2.

 Sugar busters is a diet good for some Type 2s, those still making excess
insulin. It is designed to reduce hunger by lowering that insulin and make
it easier to lose weight. Type 1s who may have gained a little extra
weight from intensive insulin therapy have less restrictive options.
Recall that some sugar is allowed in the Type 1 diet (ADA sanctioned).
