My son Rhett has now seen a GI specialist. After reviewing his lab
results she believes that he has about a 90% likelihood of having CD.
She has scheduled a biopsy. I am questioning the need for such an
invasive procedure. Is there a reason to do a biopsy other than wanting
to be 100% certain?

Also, is it possible to put him on a gf diet and then do further blood
tests? Will the level of antibodies that now indicate that he probably
has it, alter after having been on the diet for a period of time? Could
this also be another way to confirm whether or not he has celiac?
