HI:

I received a few notes with questions regarding gluten free school lunches.

for those of you who are in school districts that do not participate in the
National School Lunch Program, your "right" to having the school provide a
gluten free lunch at no additional cost is under section 504. I have a
little homework to do on that to give you specifics, but you should be able
to procure that with a note from your doctor.

The note can be as brief as:
"Andy needs a gluten-free diet at all times due to celiac disease." and
should be written on a prescription pad or the doctor's stationary.

the real trick is gettign in touch with the dietitian in charge of the menus.

I'll work on it as I am able. Sorry for the time it takes to get things
done this time of year.
