By way of clarification....

Not California in general, but in the Bay area.  My sister just finished up her coursework for her PhD (in architectural history) there, and used the "another damned redneck" phrase. 

We agree on two things in one day?!!  I'm a radical/liberal by Wyoming standards, but in California, I'd be considered "another damned redneck."
