I was once at a motel that had one of those shaking mattresses.
Unfortunately, I didn't have any quarters...

Kat,  I don't know who made mine, but in college, I had a board with a
timer nechanism attached to it.  The board went under the mattress and
would vibrate the mattress at the time set by the timer, thereby waking
me up.  The folks at Independent Living could build something similar, I
would imagine.  That might be one idea.
