Bobby can't even get in and out of the bathtub, so how would installing a shower head help?

As for the campground, yeah, but why should he be forced to use a campground community bath when there are perfectly nice hotels or motels his son could pay for? He shouldn't have to go camp out.

This is Charlotte, not Death Valley. It's the biggest city in NC and it's got just about everything NYC has except the crowds. Bobby doesn't have to camp.

His son's got the moola, and if he can afford a fancy house, he can put his dad up for a few days at a Motel 6 if nothing better.
Or he can put him up at the Hilton, the Hyatt, or the Sheraton.

It was an amusing suggestion but perhaps he can rig a shower in the
bathtub for you. How about a neighbors house? Is there a camp ground near by
they have ample showers.
