Hi all!

I didn't see the beging of this thread, but from reading Yvonne's post
here, I have to agree that to stop any form of sexual discusstion for
any reason is just plain wrong!!

This list was my introduction to Cyber space. For this and many other
reasons, this list has always been and always will be a family to me.
Do to work and other issues, I don't post here even nearly as offten
as I have in the past, or even half as much as I would like to, all of
you here are a family to mee!!

So as a member of this family, if I would told that I could not talk
about sex or anything else for that matter just because it might
bother someone else, I would have to say "whaaaat!?"

That would be like me asking Bobby to cut this list in half just
because IIII get to much mail. So while I totally respect those of
you who would rather not talk here, let me jently end by asking: isn't
that why we have subject lines in our Emails and delete buttons on our
keyboards?

Thanks-Gary

Adults have sex. Why shouldn't sexuality issues be discussed. If they are taboo, are we as a group not buying into the stereotype that folks with disabilities are somehow sexless?

His sexual development is as much a part of him as his physical, emotional and spiritual development. I want to be able to answer his questions as they come up - about sexuality as much as anything else. Of course it will be many years before THIS topic is appropriate (he's not quite 5), but that day will come <sigh>. :-)

Indicating "mature theme" in the subject heading would be considerate to those who might be offended. As to children accessing the archives... there are much more dangerous places to surf to than here. Parents need to do their job - either control your child's access or better yet, talk to your children and educate them about what they access and/or come across if it is controversial and/or too explicit. My one suggestion is that people refrain from using vulgar terms - we can share information using everyday language that is not offensive or in poor taste.
