Hi

I need to take advantage of the fact that this conversation has turned to AFO's right at the time when I need to start wearing one again.

A couple of questions:
Can anyone reccomend a brand of decent sneaker / atheletic shoe that is made extra wide so as to accomodate a MAFO? WILL NOT wear orthpedic shoes. Would also not like to pay an arm and a leg. . .
Was using New Balance shoes which are really nice but they are back-ordered from the factory until May or June. . .
Next, was told to always wear knee lenth socks under the MAFO so that the plastic was not in contact with my skin. This makes sense to me and in truth it is not hard to comply with in the winter, but does anyone have any suggestions for when it gets to be summer time?

Would rather ask you all than the bracce maker who has been rather inflexible on this issue.

(Pun Intended)

Thanks for any and all input.

Bonnie
